(WBNG Binghamton) If you're cleaning up from the storm damage, a couple of recall alerts you may want to be aware of -- First, string trimmers that pose a triple threat. Second, a swing set that could send you flying to the hospital, maybe with more than bruise.
Fiskars is pulling its SmartPower String Trimmers from the shelves of its stores and online. There are no injuries reported yet, but manufacturers fear a triple threat.
First, engine vibrations could cause wear on the fuel line, prompting a propane fuel leak. The propane canister may crack at the neck during use, and high temperatures could cause the plastic cutting guard to deform, then fall off.
This recall includes the Fiskars® SmartPower™ Propane 4-Cycle Straight Shaft String Trimmer Model 67016935 and SmartPower™ Propane 4-Cycle Curved Shaft String Trimmer Model 67036946.
Both trimmers use propane fuel.
You'll see "SmartPower™" printed on the lower shaft and near the pull-start handle, and "Fiskars®" on the engine cover and on the plastic cutting guard.
The trimmers in question come in black, silver and orange.
They were sold nationwide between January and July of 2011, costing anywhere from $220 to $280.
If you own such a trimmer, you can get a full refund.

The Playsafe Dartmouth Swing Set has six metal legs, and two swings with plastic sling-style seats.
The company says it's received 5 reports of the sling-style seats breaking, causing users to suffer scrapes and bruises.
The sets were sold at Toys R Us between January and May of this year for about $270.
