Suzuki ATV Recalled For Sticking Accelerator

July 20, 2010 Updated Jul 20, 2010 at 3:34 PM EDT

Suzuki QuadSport ATVs are being recalled by American Suzuki Motor Corporation because of a loss of control hazard.

The CPSC reports the flame arrester screen can detach from its mounting ring, preventing the throttle valve from returning to the idle
position when the throttle lever is released and causing the rider to lose control of the ATV.

This can pose a serious hazard of injury or death.

The All Terrain vehicles were sold at dealers nationwide from September 2008 through June 2010

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact Suzuki at (800) 444-5077

Please note it is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
