Smoke Alarm Damage

By WBNG News

A smoke alarm made in China may not work when a fire starts.

Walter Kidde Portable Equipment is recalling its Dual Sensor Smoke Alarms.

The model number is P12000.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says electrostatic discharge could cause damage to the alarm.

The model has two buttons, one labeled HUSH and the other PUSH AND HOLD TO TEST WEEKLY.

The recalled model has the date code August 1st, 2008 through May 4, 2009.

Call Kidde for a free replacement alarm at 877-524-2086 or visit the website www.kidde.com.
