Maine-Endwell's Mission Part 2

Maine-Endwell's Mission Part 2

By WBNG News

The weight loss competition between the schools in the Maine-Endwell District is heating up.
Today we check in with the High School and District Office team.
Its this week's Steps to a healthier New York.
Another week, another weigh in.
The Maine-Endwell School district is pinning each building against each other to see who can lose more weight.
Its called Mission Melt-away through the Steps to a Healthier New York program.
Mari Geisenhof says "I have a number of clothes that don't fit and I don't like what my scale says when I step on it so its about time to get things under control."
So Mari and her co-workers are exercising together and sharing tips as they work hard to shed the pounds.
"We cry on each others shoulders and get excited when people come back and say "I've lost 2 pounds that exciting!'"
Your looking at last week's totals from the 3 Schools.
Now... the new numbers.
M-E Middle School weighs in at 83 pounds lost.
The Homer Brink Elementary team has shed 68 pounds.
But once again the High School team weighs in on top... losing 150 pounds in the last 4 weeks.
"What it does is kind of makes everyone aware of how hard they really did work and how we had fun doing it!" says Antoinette Gasket.
A friendly competition to keep these mission melt-away members focused on their goal.
For this week's Steps to a healthier New York, I'm Jessica Light.
