A husband and wife have pleaded not
guilty to charges stemming from a robbery and murder at a home near
Binghamton.
Twenty-three-year-old Anthony Carnevale and
his 20-year-old wife, Ashley, pleaded not guilty Friday in Broome
County Court to charges of murder, assault and attempted robbery.
The Carnevales, of Kirkwood, are charged in the Jan. 20 killing
of 39-year-old Jean Clark of Parsons, Pa., in the town of Windsor.
Clark was visiting the home of 39-year-old Ethan Button when she
was shot dead. Police say Carnevale went to the house to rob Button
of prescription painkillers and shot Button and Clark. Button
survived.
Authorities say Ashley Carnevale took part in the break-in.
