Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A breakfast was held to give professional golfers the opportunity to share how faith has played a role not only in their lives, but in their golf games.
The Christian Fellowship Breakfast was held Thursday morning at the Kalurah Shrine Center on Dickson Street, as part of the 2014 DICK'S Sporting Goods Open.
The annual breakfast is also held in memory of Johnny Hart, who is best known for creating the B.C. comic strip.
A panel of Champions Tour golfers spoke to the guests on their own personal faith within their careers.
"Share our faith within, God's giving us a great platform with our golf to share the good news of Jesus Christ and that's why we're here," said 1987 Masters Champion Larry Mize.
Other speakers included defending DICK'S Sporting Goods Open Champion Bart Bryant, 1987 U.S. Open Champion Scott Simpson and 2009 Allianz Championship Champion Mike Goodes.
The panel was hosted by 1996 B.C. Open Champion Fred Funk this year.
This is the 8th year the breakfast has been held since Hart's death.
