(WBNG Binghamton) Glass artisan Milon Townsend will be in Binghamton on Tuesday to perform a scheduled inspection of the bird figurines of the ACA Memorial Park on Front Street.

According to a news release:

This inspection will involve the removal of all 13 figurines from their mounts so they can be taken to his studio near Rochester in order to allow the inspection to be performed indoors.

The inspection is intended to check to see how the figurines weathered their first winter.

The park is still under construction, benches and paving stones will be installed in March and the park is expected to be completed before the fourth anniversary of the tragedy on April 3rd. The birds will be remounted at the park in a few weeks following their once-over, prior to the park dedication in the Spring.
