Drunk driver kills passenger after crashing into a utility pole

Town of Greene, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A one-car crash involving alcohol killed a 23-year-old passenger.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of Hogsback Road, near County Road 32, in the Town of Greene just after 2:00 a.m. Friday.

The driver, Bradley Goodrich, 22, of Greene hit a utility pole, according to the sheriff’s office.

Goodrich was airlifted by Guthrie Helicopter to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City for treatment of internal injuries.

The passenger, Brandon Archer, 23, of Greene was pronounced deceased at the scene due to massive internal injuries.

The sheriff’s office said Goodrich was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Goodrich.

He is charged with vehicular manslaughter in the second degree and manslaughter in the second degree, both are felonies.

Goodrich will be arraigned upon his release from the hospital. Further charges may be pending.
