Arrest made in JC CVS robbery

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police arrested a Binghamton man for an armed robbery of a CVS in Johnson City on Friday.

Kyle Czekala, 29, of Binghamton is charged with felony charges of robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

Czekala is accused of robbing the CVS store on Riverside Drive on Friday at knifepoint.

Johnson City Police said Czekala demanded the pharmacist hand over narcotic medications. He fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later by patrol officers close to the scene.

Czekala was arraigned in Johnson City Village Court and taken to the Broome County Jail without bail.
