Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Two local families grew Sunday, starting a lifetime of many more Mother's Days to come.

While most people said Happy Mother's Day, two local families are saying happy birthday to their new little ones.

Beverly and Jason Tenhoeve, of Great Bend, Pa., have been trying to have a child for the past 13 years. Their little bundle of joy, Maxwell Jay Tenhoeve, came into the world at around 4 a.m. Sunday, just in time to wish this new mom her first happy Mother's Day.

"It's amazing. The greatest gift I could ever ask for," Tenhoeve said.

Maxwell came two weeks early. The Tenhoeve's say thankfully they were so anxious to be parents, they had everything ready for his arrival.

"I've looked forward to it for a long time so I'm just going to enjoy every minute of it, even the hard things. We asked God for a long time for a child and he finally answered," Tenhoeve said.

Another little angel entered the world just hours before Maxwell and was in the room next door.

Haley Stevens was the first Mother's Day baby at Lourdes Hospital.

Haley is Kimberly Stevens' second child. Her first daughter, Madison, 5, is ready to play with her new sister.

"I think she's been more excited than we have," Stevens said.

As of Sunday afternoon, Lourdes Hospital had delivered a third Mother's Day baby.
