Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - The Binghamton Riverwalk Hotel unveiled their new Garden Terrace Wednesday.

The outdoor venue boasts beautiful flowers and greenery.

The space can be used for anything from wedding ceremonies to cocktail parties and more.

The new Garden Terrace is just one of the several new spaces the hotel is adding with their three phase renovation project

"In all my five and a half years as Mayor I wished for somebody to take over this facility that would make it into a truly beautiful space that would attract people from all over the region and attract business people here, and bring a lot of new activity to this area and we finally have those people," says Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan.

Phase three of the renovation project will include an auditorium, a basket ball court, and additions to the athletic center.

Hotel owner Alfred Weissmann announced the space would be named Carbo Garden Terrace, in honor of a longtime employee.

Carbo worked as general manager of the hotel for more than 20 years as it went through different owners, as the Sheraton and Regency.
