Binghamton man arrested for strangulation

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man was taken to jail after being charged with strangling a woman.

The Johnson City Police Department arrested Kareem A. Davis, 33, of Binghamton.

Davis is charged with strangulation in the 2nd degree, a class D felony.

In a news release, police said Davis was involved in a dispute on Willow Street with a family member. He is accused of threatening to kill a female and then grabbing her by the neck and choking her causing her to pass out.

Davis was arraigned in Johnson City Village Court and was remanded to the Broome County Jail.
