Man pleads guilty to criminally negligent homicide

Kirkwood, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) A Binghamton man is awaiting sentencing after admitting to a crime he committed two years ago.

Joshua Launt, 26, plead guilty on Tuesday to criminally negligent homicide.

Launt hit 51-year-old Ronald Gilbert at a party in the Town of Kirkwood in September 2012.

After knocking him unconscious, Launt failed to find medical treatment for Gilbert.

Gilbert died at the house of brain trauma.

Launt remains out on bail and is scheduled for sentencing on July 2.
