Body Found in Chenango River

(WBNG Binghamton) The body of a Binghamton woman has been found in the Chenango River.

Carri Michalski was one of the passengers in an SUV that crashed into the river more than a week ago.

Family and friends tell Action News the body of Carri Micalski, 39, has been recovered. Broome County Sheriffs Deputies are on the scene.

Michalski was one of the passengers in an SUV that crashed into the Chenango River three weeks ago.

On May 20 just after midnight, the SUV hit a guardrail on Interstate 88 and plunged into the Chenango River. Three people drowned including Michalski.

Jaclyn Wesley, 23, was able to escape and swim to shore to get help.

Sheriff's Deputies recovered the bodies of Robert Moorehead, 25, from Port Crane, and Robert Marshall, 45, of Binghamton from inside the car.

Rescue crews have been searching for Michalski's body in the Chenango River since the crash.
