Conklin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Voters in the Susquehanna Valley School District overwhelmingly pass a proposition to help get kids to school.
The vote was 153-44 to buy four new buses estimated to cost the district $411,000.
The purchase would be paid over the next five years, and will mean an additional 33 cents per month per $100,000 in home value.
The school district currently has a fleet of 38 buses, but some of them are 15 years old, and district officials said it's time for an upgrade.
