Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Local high school seniors were recognized Thursday night as they stepped back into the halls of their elementary school.

Each year, the Parent Teacher Association organizes an annual event to celebrate Founder's Day, traditionally recognized on Feb. 17.

This year the theme was "Life After Coolidge," prompting the return of 36 Calvin Coolidge alumni.

These students, now seniors preparing for their graduations at high schools across the city, were invited back to their 5th-grade hallways.

Honorary lifetime membership PTA awards were presented and the 1st grade students presented a bell performance.

The "Life After Coolidge" presentation was given by Melissa Tingley, coordinator of the event.

The room was filled with posters of students' accomplishments and the night allowed old classmates a chance to catch up and share plans for the next stage of their lives.

Each student was presented with a commemorative Calvin Coolidge School sweatshirt.
