(WBNG Binghamton) The Broome County Sheriff's Office confirmed Sunday evening several law enforcement agencies were involved in a car chase.
Deputies arrested a woman accused of stealing from Wal-Mart in Vestal following a chase through Johnson City into Binghamton.
According to police, Sara Muskas, 27, of Hallstead, stole cell phone equipment, ear phones, Benadryl and personal care items before fleeing the scene in an 2006 Subaru Forester.
As she fled, she was involved in a minor accident on Rt. 434 and Rano Boulevard.
Later, a member of the sheriff's office saw Muskas on Floral Avenue in Johnson City and tried to pull her over.
She refused and hit two more vehicles during a chase through Binghamton.
She hit a another vehicle at the corner of Home and Conklin avenues, then fled on foot. Two deputies chased and then arrested her.
The sheriff's office charged her with one count of reckless endangerment in the first degree, a felony, one count of unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, one count of criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
Muskas also faces charges from Binghamton and Vestal police.
Deputies took her to the Broome County Jail without bail.
They said police from Vestal and Binghamton, New York State troopers and the Broome County Sheriff's Office were involved.
