(WBNG Binghamton) The Broome County Sheriff's Department now knows how 21-year-old David Fillers died, but the cause of his death will not be released.

Deputies say Fillers was sexually assaulted before he was murdered in the wee morning hours of New Year's Day, that's according to an indictment against Fillers' former classmate, Alan Outman.

A Broome County grand jury indicted 22-year-old Outman on four charges:

A single count of First degree murder, two charges of second degree murder and sexual abuse.

An arraignment date has not been set.

Broome County Sheriff David Harder says his mugshot will not be released.

This, as the investigation continues and line ups are still being conducted.
