Overall sentiment in New York dropped 2.8 points during the month of January to 74.5 percent.
Current sentiment also dropped 1.1 to 74.3 percent,
Future confidence sank 3.9 points to 74.7 percent.
Buying plans dropped for cars, trucks, computers, furniture and home improvements.
However, plans to buy homes increased.
