Great Bend, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A single-car crash shut down Interstate 81 North and sent three to the hospital.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, a 1999 Toyota RAV4 hit the guide rail along the left side of the highway at approximately 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers said Gladys Arevalo, 68, of Ontario, was driving at the time of the crash. Troopers said the force and angle Arevalo hit caused the SUV to roll over and block both northbound lanes, directly across from the Pennsylvania Welcome Center.

19-year-old Karen Pereira Arevalo, also from Ontario, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Both women were taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers shut the highway down for about an hour.
