Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton fire officials say the fire that damaged two homes last week was set intentionally.

Crews were called at approximately 5 a.m., Sept. 5, to 10 Judson Ave. in Binghamton. It severely burned the back of the home.

The heat of the fire was so intense, it also melted the side of an adjacent home at 15 Loraine Ave.

No one was injured.

Binghamton Fire Marshal Dan Eggleston said Tuesday the fire has been ruled an arson.

The investigation has been turned over to the Binghamton police detectives, who only said Tuesday they're treating the blaze as suspicious.
