Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Kids took to the dance floor Sunday in the Town of Union to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. Adrienne Seccia started Dancing for Dreams in 2007 as a high school senior; it was a project for her government class. "It got so big and so many people wanted to come that I decided to do it annually," Seccia said Sunday at the 7th annual Dancing for Dreams. The dance clinic costs between $7 and $12, depending on the age group. Together with the $10 T-shirts, last year's Dancing for Dreams raised $2,400 and sent a young girl on a Disney Cruise. "It's the most amazing feeling in the world to know that a child with a life-threatening medical condition is being granted this wish because of money that Dancing for Dreams has raised," Seccia said. The first year, Seccia got 15 kids to participate. This year she expected more than 100. Other wishes granted from past years include helping a girl meet Hannah Montana and giving a boy a shopping spree for electronics.
