Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Local candidates on the ballot make it out to the polls before they prepare for the results. Incumbent Johnson City Mayor Greg Deemie casts his vote on Tuesday.

Deemie voted at the SEPP Senior Living Apartments. He was accompanied by his wife and son, who is also a first time voter.

Deemie said he's happy with how he ran his campaign and feels the reactions from voters he's talked to have been mostly positive.

"They need an honest, trustworthy person in there that's going to do the job for the taxpayer," (R) Johnson City Mayor Greg Deemie said, "And that's what I've always done as the mayor and as a trustee is look out for the taxpayers best interest, but it's up to them who they're going to want in there for the next four years."

Deemie said he'll be visiting other Johnson City polling places and do some last minute campaigning before heading to the Republican watch party at the Terra Cotta in Binghamton.
