Driver charged in death of passenger

Terry Twp., PA (WBNG Binghamton) A year and a half after a fatal crash in Bradford County, Pennsylvania State Police have now charged the driver with the death of his passenger.

Police said Joseph Gary Jaster, 29, of Grafton, N.D., was speeding on state Route 2010 back in September of 2011 when he crashed his vehicle.

His passenger, Devon Robert Miller, 27, of Bald Knob, Ark., was partially ejected from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jaster's was charged with homicide by vehicle, driving vehicle at safe speed, obedience to traffic control devices, driving on roadways laned for traffic, and two counts of occupant protections.

He was arraigned in district court and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
