Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) After operating out of a temporary office on Riverside Drive, Klemmt Orthopedic Services on Oakdale Road is happy to return to its Oakdale Road location.
The flood of 2011 took everything - patient documents, prosthetics, even personal belongings.
Owner Marcus Klemmt says it wasn't flooded at all during 2006.
He remembers being heartbroken to see the facility after September 8, 2011.
Coming from Apalachin, he could not get down to see the facility for almost 10 days.
"Water in the windows, sludge, dirt smell, and the muck everything that was in here floated or moved if it was not nailed down everything we had paper documents were pretty much destroyed," said Klemmt.
Klemmt says he couldn't have come back without the support of his employees and patients.
The business has served the Twin Tiers since 1965.
