Town of Union NY (WBNG Binghamton) Highland Park is home to one of the biggest celebrations nearby. With several vendors, children activities, and a renowned firework display, families come to the park for a day full of fun.

They had 27 vendors this year and all the regular park attractions for the family.

On Thursday afternoon, the children's attractions were most popular.

There was a bounce house and sand art that kids could fill themselves.

A young girl from Endicott, Melissa Higgs told us about her plans for the day, "I got my face painted and there's going to be fireworks and there's a bunch of stands."

The events at Highland Park run late into the night.

Bands and live entertainment are set to play into the early evening with the fireworks display to cap off the night.

Weather permitting, the show blasts off at 9:30 p.m.

The Endwell Rotary is one of the main sponsors of this event and says it's something they look forward to every year.

"This is a great community event," said President Tom Hranek. "The 4th of July extravaganza brings the whole community together year after year."
