Conklin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A golf tournament is donating all of it's proceeds to the A Room to Heal foundation.

The tournament at the Conklin Players Club is in memory of David Fancher.

Fancher was an avid golfer himself, but died of a very rare brain disease called progressive supra-nuclear palsy.

Because of the proceeds from the tournament a child suffering from a critical condition will have his room remade to make his stay easier.

"We're really shocked that we had 27 teams that came out. This was planned in about 10 days. David just passed away recently. And it's just such an attribute to a wonderful person that he was that all these people came out to support A Room to Heal today," said Laurie Abess, president of A Room to Heal.

Through the tournament today A Room to Heal has raised about $5,000.
