Police: Driver drunk in fatal head-on crash
Dryden, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man was drunk early Saturday when he died after hitting a tractor trailer head-on in Tompkins County. New York State Police said a 2002 Saturn collided with a 2012 Freightliner truck on SR 13 in Dryden. It was at approximately 2:43 am. Saturday. Isaac W. Miller, 21, of Freeville, was drunk and driving the Saturn northbound when it drifted into the southbound lane, hitting the truck head-on. Miller was pronounced dead. An autopsy conducted Sunday at Lourdes Hospital found Miller's blood alcohol content to be 0.23, nearly three times the state's legal limit of 0.08. The driver of the truck, Alexander Spagnola, of Tully, was taken to Cayuga Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
