Towanda, PA (WBNG Binghamton) The preliminary hearing will continue Friday in Bradford County for the man accused of murdering his cousin and her husband.

John DeSisti, 73, of Waverly, NY, is charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Carol and David Keeffe in 2006.

People filled the courtroom in Bradford County Common Pleas Court for the preliminary hearing for DeSisti on Thursday.

18 people took the stand Thursday including Melissa Keeffe, the daughter of David and Carol Keeffe.

The others were New York State and Pennsylvania Police investigators who questioned DeSisti in the days, weeks, and months following the murders.

David and Carol Keeffe were shot in an ambush-style execution at their Athens, PA home in 2006.

In December 2010, Pennsylvania State Police arrested DeSisti in connection with the murders after a lengthy grand jury investigation into the crime. DeSisti is Carol Keeffe's cousin.

DeSisti is charged with two counts of murder and one count of burglary.

He is being held in the Bradford County Correctional Facility without bail. That is where DeSisti has been since his arrest on December 8.

One more witness, Dr. Samuel Land, a forensic pathologist, is expected to be heard Friday morning.
