Horseheads, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Five days after a home explodes in Horseheads, neighbors are still not allowed back into their homes.

On Wednesday, 198 Joseph street blew up into flames, killing a baby and injuring 2 others.

Investigators are still working to determine a cause for the explosion.

Officials say it could take weeks.

While many people in the neighborhood speculate the natural gas line is to blame,

NYSEG has released a statement saying the system in the area is safe.

Neighbors on Joseph Street have been able to return to their homes briefly to collect any items they may need while staying with family or at a motel.
