Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - From tarantulas to butterflies, insects and eaters of insects are getting ready to meet and greet fans of all ages.
Cornell University's Department of Entomology is hosting its fifth annual Insectapalooza.
The educational bug fair gives guests a chance to get their hands on many different arthropods.
Thirty displays show off butterflies, millipedes, centipedes, tarantulas, and beetles.
They'll focus on insect communication, how bugs think and new research.
"One of the favorite things that we have is pondering insects which is a kitty pool full of aquatic bugs and different things that kids are able to fish out and identify. So there's a lot of hands-on interaction throughout the building," said Cornell University's Dr. Linda Rayor.
The event will run at Comstock hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday October 23rd.
Plenty of parking will be available at the stadium.
The university is expecting 3,000 visitors.
