Man shot in Ithaca, suspect at large

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Ithaca police are searching for a man they said shot a person, describing the suspect as armed and dangerous.

Police responded at 7:39 p.m. Monday to the intersection of South Plain Street and Cleveland Avenue for reports of multiple shots fired.

According to police, a man had been shot twice.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was interviewed by police. The victim was then transferred to a regional trauma center.

Police identified the suspect as Clifton McBean of Ithaca and believe him to be dangerous.

They said the suspect and victim knew each other.
