Ithaca robbers sentenced

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man and woman from Ithaca were sentenced Friday for robbing a man who thought he had ordered a prostitute.

Jameel Melton, 30, and Elizabeth Minor, 34, broke into a on Lake Avenue house in July 2012.

Minor had posed as a prostitute to find out how much money was in the victim's home.

After Minor left, she and Melton returned to rob the home.

Both were convicted in early June of first-degree robbery because of the use of a pistol, and robbery in the second degree.

Minor was sentenced to seven years in prison and Melton was sentenced to eight years in prison.
