Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A crowd gathered at a newly-opened Johnson City restaurant to celebrate its opening.

It was a festive atmosphere at Food and Fire Barbeque and Tap House Wednesday afternoon.

The Broome County Chamber of Commerce met with members of the community at the restaurant for the celebration and ribbon cutting.

Food and Fire made a $1,000 dollar donation to the American Cancer Society and A Room to Heal, all from tips made by staff on opening weekend.

The restaurant officially opened on Dec. 9 and is located at 560 Harry L Drive.
