Johnson City murder suspect pleads guilty to manslaughter

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Johnson City man accused of killing a woman and injuring two others in 2012, pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Derrick Mann, 23, of Johnson City pleaded guilty manslaughter in Broome County Court Monday, according to District Attorney, Gerald Mollen.

Mann faced second degree murder charges for a shooting on Grand Avenue in Johnson City in April of 2012.

Mann will be sentenced Dec. 13 to 14 years in prison. He will also be sentenced to a concurrent 14 year term for an unrelated plea of Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

20-year-old Genesis Lee died and attempted to shoot Eladio Murphy.
