Endicott, NY(WBNG Binghamton) The kickoff for the 4th annual Avenue Summer Concert Series brought hundreds out to the streets of downtown Endicott.

Wednesday night kicked off the Fourth Annual Avenue Summer Concert Series on Washington Aveeue in Endicott.

Frostbite Blue performed the first of three concerts sponsored by the series this summer.

Series organizers say this big bash all began from a small idea.

"It started out being a one time event so people could see what a great place Endicott is. People liked it so much, we decided to bring it back and it keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger," President of the Downtown Business Commission Brian Luby said.

The event also featured food, local store vendors and activities for children.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Wendy's Walk and the Boys and Girls Club of Broome County.

The next concerts are July 24 and Aug. 28.
