Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Fair rides and foods have brightened Northside Park in Johnson City.

It's the 46th time Field Days have served as a fundraiser for the village and a time to say farewell to summer.

"We've been coming to the Field Days since I was a kid, so this is kind of the tradition for end of the summer, getting ready for the new school year, and just having a little bit more fun while we can," Stephanie Mitsakos said.

While it's a tradition for some, there are always newcomers.

"We've been here for about ten years, believe it or not, but this is the first year we've ever come out to the Field Days," Rene Williams said. 'So this is a new adventure for us, but we're excited about being here."

The fair will be open from noon until 11 p.m. Monday, with a firework show scheduled at 9:30 p.m.
