Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Now that spring weather is in the air, some are starting to turn their attention to lawn care.

The move is jump starting business for local hardware stores.

Kovarik's Hardware store owner says business has been pretty slow up until this weekend.

He says it's finally time to put away the snow blowers and rock salts for mulch and lawn mowers.

"Oh we're doing everything," Joseph Kovarik , Jr. said. "Everything is coming out; the rakes, the shovels, the seeds, the weed eaters; the toys. People are finally getting a break with the weather. Mother nature is being kind to us and it's all looking good. Finally."

He said now is the perfect type of weather to start raking the lawn and in a couple of weeks it will be time to start planting those spring and summer flowers.
