Binghamton, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down whoever broke into a local church and spray painted graffiti and "racial slurs" on the walls inside.

Binghamton police were called Sept. 12 to Grace Baptist Church, 28 Howard Ave., on a report of a burglary.

Police said someone broke into the church between Sept. 5 and Sept. 12 and spray painted graffiti and racial slurs on interior walls. Police were not specific about the slurs. However, they also said the graffiti included "rock block" and the initials "SMD" and "GBE," which police say stands for Glory Boys EOX.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau at (607) 772-7080.
