(WBNG Binghamton) The Broome Sheriff's Office is looking for a town of Chenango man that was arrested April 29 for child sex abuse. Paul Terwilliger, 54, was reported missing on May 8.
Terwilliger is charged with felony course of sexual conduct against a child. Deputies say he's accused of having sexual intercourse with a child younger than age 11 over an extended period of time.
After he was bailed out of the Broome County Jail, friends who had lived with Terwilliger reported him missing on May 8.
Terwilliger's bail was $5,000 cash, according to the Broome County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office conducted an extensive search for Terwilliger with the help of the New York State Forest Rangers, Broome County Emergency Services Search Team, Community Emergency Response Team, SCUBA Team and Chenango Bridge Fire Company.
They could not find him in the area of his home at 4 Airport Road, and his whereabouts are unknown. They are asking for the public's help.
