(WBNG Binghamton) A man tried to flee from Pennsylvania State Police with his child in the car.

Troopers initially responded to a domestic call at home in Towanda Thursday.

The woman said Dillion Benjamin, 20, struck her in the face, then took her car and took off with their child.

Once located, police say Benjamin tried to drive off at a high rate of speed.

He was eventually stopped at South Main Street in Towanda.

Benjamin faces several charges including simple assault, harrassment, fleeing police and traffic violations.
