Woman soaked in gasoline, man arrested

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Endicott Police find a woman soaked in gasoline.

Endicott police officers responded Sunday to a home at 1903 East Main St.

Police said Mark Geertgens, 54, was in a domestic dispute with an unidentified woman.

An investigation found that Geertgens soaked the woman in gasoline and flicked a lit cigarette at her. The gasoline did not ignite.

Geertgens was arrested and charged with a felony count of attempted assault in the first degree.

He was arraigned in Village of Endicott Court and taken to the Broome County Jail with no bail.
