Man wanted for rape found, arrested in Bath

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Authorities found a Binghamton man wanted for forcible rape in Bath.

Police had been searching for Christopher Eastburn, 38, since August of 2013 when he allegedly raped a 15-year-old female.

Members of the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force found Eastburn about 100 miles away in Bath.

They took Eastburn into custody without incident on an active arrest warrant for rape in the first degree, according to police.

Crews brought him back to Binghamton and sent him to the Broome County Jail without bail.

The US Marshal Fugitive Task Force is made up of officers from the US Marshal Service, New York State Police, Binghamton Police and the Broome County Sheriff's Office.
