Man wanted for rape of minor

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) New York State Police are looking for a man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl.

State police are working with U.S. Marshals to find Michael Degnan, 38.

Degnan is wanted for first-degree rape.

He has been convicted for seven felonies, including multiple burglary charges, grand larceny, reckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and attempted murder.

He was released on most recent charged in November of 2011 on a conditional parole.

Police say he raped the girl on Saturday in the Port Crane area and is known for having a violent criminal history.
