Walton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man originally from Florida gets the maximum sentence for killing a Walton man last August.

Lejuan Wainwright, 21, is sentenced Monday to spend five to 15 years in prison.

That's after a jury found him guilty earlier this month to second-degree manslaughter.

Earlier this month, a jury found Wainwright guilty of stabbing Tyler Warner, 20.

The jury did not find him guilty of first-degree manslaughter.

It happened last August outside of an apartment on Mead Street in the Village.

After his sentencing, Wainwright was taken back to the Delaware County jail.

The state will assign him to a prison.
