Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Two men admit their role in the murder of a man from New York City.

Gary Lowe, 49, was charged with second degree murder after police accused him of killing Francisco Santiago, 25, in December 2011.

Ithaca police say Santiago, also known as "Rico," had been selling drugs in the area for several months, while making trips back and forth to New York City.

They believed his murder was part of a drug-related robbery.

Lowe is scheduled to be sentenced at 2 p.m., May 3.

Lawrence Beauford, 34, of Ithaca, was also charged with murder in the crime.

He pleaded guilty to conspiracy of the 4th degree in court earlier Tuesday.

He is scheduled for sentencing at 10:30 a.m., March 22.
