Mygatt St. murderer changes plea to guilty

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) One of the two men accused of the brutal killing of a former roommate and the beating and rape of his pregnant fiance plead guilty in Broome County Court.

Julian Talamantez III, 22, of Binghamton, plead guilty on Friday to murder in the first degree and attempted murder in the first degree.

Talamantez is guilty of the Nov. 2013 killing of 23-year-old Jordan Dordell and attempted killing of Dordell’s 19-year-old girlfriend at 32 Mygatt St. in Binghamton.

Talamantez admitted he intentionally stabbed each of them multiple times while trying to rob their home.

Talamantez will be sentenced on October 10 to two consecutive terms of 25 years to life and 15 years to life.

The indictment against co-defendant Nigel Saunders, 25, of Binghamton is pending and awaiting trial.

District Attorney Gerald Mollen and Chief Assistant District Attorney Joann Rose Parry are prosecuting the indictment.
