(WBNG Binghamton) A four-month investigation nets two Binghamton men Friday on federal drug charges.

Johnny L. Ortiz, of Robinson Street, and Juan J. Martinez, of Spring Forest Avenue were taken into custody Friday on federal charges involving dealing drugs, specifically cocaine.

The men were found at a hotel along Upper Front Street.

The 23-year-old Ortiz is charged federally with narcotics trafficking conspiracy and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

The 33-year-old Martinez faces a federal charge of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

They were taken into custody without any problem, according to the Broome County Sheriff's Office.

The arrests are the result of a joint operation among the Broome County Sheriff's Office, State Police and the FBI.

The men remain at the Broome County jail without bail.
