New Attorney For Alan Outman

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Broome County judge granted Alan Outman's request to assign a new attorney.

Outman, 23, of Binghamton plead guilty to First Degree Murder on September 5, 2012.

He admitted to sexually assaulting and killing David Fillers on New Years Day.

Outman is scheduled to be sentenced to a term of 25 years to life in prison on November 15, 2012.

He appeared in Broome County Court Tuesday to request new counsel and Vestal attorney Mike Sullivan was assigned.

Binghamton attorney Mark Loughran previously represented Outman.

David Fillers, 21, of the Town of Dickinson became separated from a group of friends on New Years Eve.

His family reported him missing when he did not return home.

Police found his body behind the Quality Inn in the Town of Vestal on January 2, 2012.

Fillers and Outman both graduated from Chenango Valley High School.
