New food pantry opens its doors

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A new food pantry has opened its doors in Binghamton.

The pantry will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to anyone in need.

It is part of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and run by Tonya Powell.

In addition to running the food pantry, Powell also runs a not for profit called Equal Access to People of Color, or EATOPOC, which advocates people of color who believe they may have been wronged.

Powell, said EATOPOC analyzes each situation and work to reach an understanding between both parties.
